"Translating" IR Codes

You may use triggers to control "foreign" devices from your favorite old RC. This is possible, because iRed can respond to an incoming IR code by sending out another IR code.

Please open the Inspector window and click onto the tab "Triggers", to activate the trigger section:

From the action archive on the right choose an IR code used to work as the trigger.
Click on "To Triggers" (top right of the window) - the code will be added to the list of triggers
Look around in the archive for the IR code which should be sent as response to the trigger and select the entry
Click on "To Actions" or double-click the code entry

The IR code is being added to the list of actions, "Sony / Vol+" in this case:

The example shown above reads as follows: if you click the button "Line +" on your Sony CD RC the "foreign" code "Sony / Vol+" is being sent by iRed.

You may assign lists of IR codes as well and so with one single RC click set up your home video entertainment center, e.g.

All triggers will be saved automatically when you quit iRed. So on startup time all triggers are waiting for your commands.
