All IR codes becomes part of an iRed archive ordered alphabetically by the name of the respective RCs and codes. This archive is accessible from the Inspector window.
For a clear arrangement of your codes it is recommended to use the button descriptions and the RC name from the original RC.
In this screenshot the respective input fields has been filled out already - iRed will try to make an intelligent assumption from the title of a VRC button e.g.
To teach an IR code please click "Learn..." once, then point the RC towards the infrared module and press the button on the RC once.
If the IR code is recognized correctly you'll find "IR Code was learned" on the panel as shown.
If the IR code could not be learned, please try it again from a shorter distance (about 10"). In case that this won't work anyway, please check "Raw Code" and try it again.
After teaching you may check out the code immediately by clicking "Test". If the code is working as expected please "Save" the code, than "Close" the window or click "New" to start learning of another code.
If the learned code will not work try to use several frequencies from the popup list. Although most RCs are working with the default setting of 39 KHz, some RCS are using special settings.
The IRTrans is not capable of reading this frequency by itself, so this tedious part of trying out frequencies is on you - only once per RC, of course.
