Until now you had a problem: how could you decide which IRTrans transmits a code or from which IRTrans a trigger code was received.
While this feature is planned to get premium support in iRed 2.0, I have made a workaround solution which is used by several beta testers with success.
Please open iRed's IR Modules Preferences and check the respective option:
What you can see, too, is the numbering of the modules, starting from '#0'. To adress a specific module, you'll use these numbers as their adress.
Please note: if you unplug any device, the numbering will change. Until now there is no mechanism to make sure that the numbers don't change! However, if a device number does not exist, a timed warning appears, but the code will be transmitted from #0, anyway.
Simply prefix an IR code with a '#' and a single-digit, like here:
In this example, transmitting '#2 PhonoStart' will use module #2, i.e. from my second IRTrans LAN down in the living room. Naming has to include a 'space", e.g '#2 ' (hash, 2, space)
As you see this works for triggers, too. If I issue this very command from my Sony remote down at #2, it will trigger a different action than when transmitting to #1.
There is a special numbering '#A '. This prefix means: "transmit from All modules". The option "Send from all connected modules" does not interfere with the numbering.
