Deselect this option to prevent iRed from opening empty VRCs automatically. This comes very handy if you only want to use iRed's trigger handling capabilities.

IR Modules
Scan for Modules on ..
There are two kinds of IRTrans Modules available by now. Please check which kind you are using. You may, however, switch on both options if you are running more than one module.
Modules in use
Here all recognized modules are listed together with their version number. If there appears a note "wake", this module is already capable of wakeing up the Mac from sleep mode:
Send from all connected modules
This option is under construction for better support of multiple connected devices.
Advanced
Allow IR code editing
This option for power users will give you two more functions:
IR codes selected in the archive may be duplicated (from menu "Edit")
IR code data like "S000001010001" can be edited. This is only advisable for small changes to duplicated codes.
No IR code repeat restriction
Please handle this option with care. Sending some codes very often may damage your HiFi equipment - or your ears.
Ignore missing IR module at startup
Convenience option for some special uses and users ;-)
Don't cache triggers
If the action bound to a trigger takes some time to perform, any incoming IR triggers will be cached by default. This may not be desired.
Wake up slowly
Well, an open issue. Some Macs seem to be a little bit slow on recognizing IRTrans modules after wake up from sleep. Pelease try out this option for better wakeup behavior.
